Are Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson to get married after years of engagement?

Hollywood A-listers Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are ready to tie the knot, an insider reports.

The Coldplay frontman and 50 Shades of Grey star have reportedly been engaged for six years. The couple, who has had a few rocky moments and rift breakups, currently share a $14.4 million beachfront property in Malibu.

The 34-year-old actress first sparked rumors of being engaged to the 47-year-old singer in 2020 after she was pictured with an emerald ring on her ring finger.

Although the emerald ring is believed to be an engagement ring, Johnson does not wear it all the time.

She was last spotted with the jewel in November in New York City – as she was honored by the Hope for Depression Research Foundation. However, she didn’t wear it as she hosted Saturday Night Live in January.

A source close to the couple revealed that the couple had actually broken up during this time and since has gotten back together.

Another source to the couple told the Mirror, “They are in no rush to plan the wedding but are just enjoying making their commitment official.”

Meanwhile, it remains unclear if they are to tie the knot in the near future.

The Madame Web star recently opened up about being a stepmother figure on Chris Martin and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow’s children.

Speaking of Martin’s teenage children -  daughter Apple, 19, and son, Moses, 17 – she shared, “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.”

“I grew up in a family that was so big, and I just believe in the saying ‘Blood is thicker than water. The actual saying is ‘The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb,’ which means that the connections with people you choose are more solid than the connections to the people you’re actually born to,” she added.

Johnson also shared that she is open to having children of her own one day.

“I’ve gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything that life has to offer,” she explained.
