Aubrey O'Day criticizes justice system amid Diddy-Cassie lawsuit settlement

Aubrey O'Day has denounced the “money-run” justice system after the Diddy-Cassie lawsuit settlement was made public.
The singer took to Instagram to weigh in on the legal matter – which was surprisingly settled out of court – just a day after the lawsuit was filed.
O'Day wrote on Instagram shorts, “Money > accountability. Every time. Welcome to another chapter of the system is well in place."
The post featured the New York Times article, “Cassie Settles Lawsuit Accusing Seam Combs of Rape and Abuse.”

After the lawsuit was filed, O'Day wrote on Instagram, “Been Trynna Tell Y'all For Years.” When speaking to the New York Post, she also shared that she was in “complete support” of Cassie.
Over the years the 39-year-old American singer had accused Diddy, full name Sean John Combs, of making unwanted sexual advances and being involved in shady business practices.
One of Aubrey O'Day’s accusations is Diddy offering publishing rights back to her group Danity Kane – with an NDA as a catch – which she never signed.

Cassie had sued Diddy on November 16, 2023. The R&B singer had met him in 2005 and was signed with Diddy’s label, Bad Boy Records. The lawsuit claimed his controlling behavior began in 2006 and he exerted complete control over her life including her car, clothing, and even her medical records. This abuse, she claims continued for over a decade.
She had also accused the 54-year-old rapper of rape, sex trafficking, human trafficking, sexual battery, sexual assault, and gender-motivated violence, among others.

However, just a day after the 37-year-old singer and dancer filed the lawsuit, she settled with Diddy out of court.
Diddy wrote at the time, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love."
Cassie, birth name Ms. Casandra Ventura, too released a public statement, “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control over. I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support."
