‘Bachelor’ star Lauren Bushnell welcomes second child with Chris Lane

Reality TV star Lauren Bushnell and Chris Lane have become parents for a second child!

Her second-born, also a son, was born on October 16, 2022. The Bachelor alum shared the news via Instagram where her oldest baby, wearing a “big bro” t-shirt, meets his younger brother for the very first time.

Chris Lane also took to Instagram to share the news of a new family member. Alongside the picture of them doting on their children on the hospital bed, Lane wrote, “Life just got 8 Pounds Sweeter! Family of 4 Now!!”

Back in June, 35-year-old Bushnell had revealed that she was pregnant with her second child. “Party of 4, coming October 2022. I cannot wait to see you as a big brother, Dutty!,” she had shared at the time.

The couple is also parents to son Dutton, born in June 2021.

Lane, 37, had also announced the news on his own social media post, “I guess it’s no secret to what’s been going on in the Lane household. Dutty is gonna be a brother!”

The second pregnancy was not smooth for  Bushnell as she had hoped. She had revealed to her social media followers that she was hospitalized for marginal cord insertion.

“I was incredibly stressed out when my doctor told me … but I’m trying to stay optimistic. It can sometimes cause the baby to not get all the nutrients it needs, so it just needs extra monitoring,” she said at the time.

The former flight attendant and the country singer tied the knot in October 2018. They had mostly been vocal about extending a family and giving Dutton a sibling.

In an October 2021 interview with US Weekly, Bushnell said, “I hope that we’re blessed with another baby. Although Chris and I joke all the time when Dutton is being a handful, ‘You better straighten out or you’re not going to get a sibling’..I’m not sure how many in terms of, like, two or three.” 

Lauren Bushnell was previously engaged to fellow Bachelor star Ben Higgins.
