‘Bachelorette’ star Will Urena ‘drugged, beaten and robbed' in Colombia
Will Urena, a former Bachelorette contestant, has said he was a victim of a crime during his recent trip to Colombia.
The reality TV star competed in season 18 of the show which featured Michelle Young as the Bachelorette.
The 30-year-old took to Instagram to reveal his harrowing incident, “While in Colombia I was drugged, beat [sic], and robbed of all my belongings. These past few days have been something I could of [sic] never imagined. Thank you for all those reaching out with kind words. I really appreciate y’all beyond words.”
He also apologized “to all those” he has not been able to message back.
“I am slowly working to get my life back to normal. I am just beyond grateful to still be here,” he added.
Urena, who works with autistic elementary school students, had previously shared a picture of himself walking through the city of Medellín but it is unclear if he was attacked during his visit to the country where violent and petty crimes are “a significant concern.”
The reality star rose to fame in 2021 after his time on The Bachelorette which he said he joined to “make a substantial connection with someone” as he was “very tired of being the only single one in his group of friends.” However, he was eliminated during week four of the show.
He went on to date Nayte Olukoya and even was engaged to her before breaking up in 2022.
