Bindi Irwin updates on pregnancy- baby is the size of a hummingbird

Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi Irwin has updated on her pregnancy. 

The 22-year-old soon to be mother posted a picture with her husband Chandler Powell, 23, on Instagram.

Bindi can be seen holding her sonogram on one hand and a blanketed baby kangaroo nestled in her other arm. Powell holds a koala close to his chest while his other hand embraces his wife.

“The animal joeys we care for are excited to meet our human joey. Baby Wildlife Warrior is about about the size of a hummingbird now!”, Bindi shared her excitement, “We can’t wait to teach our little one about the importance of protecting our planet and the beauty of the wildlife and wild places we love so much. Thank you for your kindness and support on this magical journey.”

The pair has noted that they will be involving their child to be in their conservation work, much like Bindi’s famous zookeeper father Steve Irwin did.

Bindi Irwin announced her pregnancy to her 3 million Instagram followers just six months after she married her American boyfriend. Amid the pandemic, their wedding ceremony was socially distanced at the Australia Zoo.

“Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honor to share this special moment in our lives with you,” Bindi wrote alongside a picture of them holding a miniature safari shirt, “Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives.”

The married pair live in Beerwah, Australia, and had been dating for six years.
