DWTS stars Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson welcome first child

The Dancing With the Stars pros are now new parents!

Val Chmerkovskiy is now a father after his partner Jenna Johnson gave birth to their first child on January 10, 2023.

Alongside a picture of the new parents' hands with their newborn grabbing her finger, Johnson wrote on Instagram on Thursday, “Our world is forever changed.”

Chmerkovskiy, 36, and Johnson, 28, have been together since 2015. They had struggled with “two years of infertility and hundreds of negative tests” which was revealed by the new mom in a July 2022 Instagram post.

The dancers had even “stopped trying to conceive for about six months to mentally/emotionally give”  themselves a break when the good news came about their pregnancy.

In their baby bump debut post, Johnson had written, “Our biggest dream come true yet.”

“Baby Chmerkovskiy coming this January! My heart has grown beyond comprehension while growing this little miracle inside of me. We can’t wait to meet our precious angel,” she added.

The couple married in April 2019 after four years of dating and started to think of expanding their family a year later.

She explained, “That’s our future. That’s what we want when that’s gonna happen.”
