British singer Ed Sheeran, 28, and his wife Cherry Seaborn, 28, are expecting their first child, the UK Sun reports.

The couple two secretly married in 2018 have been spending most of the year in lockdown at Sheeran’s Suffolk home. The outlet reported that  Seaborn is in the final stage of the pregnancy and is due “later this summer.”

“Lockdown was a perfect excuse not to be seen out and about too much,” The Sun reported, “but things are getting closer and the excitement has been building so they have started telling friends and family.”

In December Ed Sheeran announced that he was  taking a break from both touring and social media and that he would return with new music “when the time is right and I’ve lived a little more to actually have something to write about.”

Sheeran and  Seaborn were high-school sweethearts and “a few years ago, they reconnected [and] there were fireworks”, he had revealed in his December video for “Put It All On Me.”
