Elon Musk’s dad Errol Musk has confirmed he fathered a secret second love child with his stepdaughter Jana Bezuidenhout.

Musk, 76, welcomed a daughter with Bezuidenhout, 53 in 2017. They are also parents to son Elliot Rush, born in 2017. The Musk patriarch bragged to The Sun, matching his son’s view, “The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce.”

Errol, however, did admit that the second pregnancy was “unplanned” and they no longer live together- citing their 41-year age gap.

“It’s not practical. She’s 35. Eventually, if I’m still around, she might wind up back with me,” he said. “Any man who marries a [younger] woman, even if you feel very sprightly, it’s going to be nice for a while, but there’s a big gap … and that gap is going to show itself.” 

Just last week the billionaire Telsa founder confirmed he and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis had welcomed twins. This was just weeks before he and his ex-girlfriend, Canadian singer Grimes, welcomed a second child via surrogate. He too has been supporting supposed claims about low birth rates. “The biggest problem the world will face in 20 years is population collapse,” Musk said in 2019. The SpaceX founder has now a total of 10 children.

Errol, who is a wealthy South African engineer, has a total of seven children. He and model Maye Haldeman Musk married in 1970 and welcomed three children- Elon, Kimbal, and Tosca. After divorcing in 1979, he went on to marry a young widow named Heide Bezuidenhout and raise her two children- including Jana Bezuidenhout who was just 4 years old then and now is his partner.

Errol and Heide welcomed two more children together. After 18 years together, they divorced.

So when news broke in the family that Errol had impregnated Jana, it did not settle well with the family. Along with Elon, Errol’s other children were also “shocked” and uncomfortable.

“They still don’t like it. They still feel a bit creepy about it, because she’s their sister. Their half-sister.” Errol said stating the fact that his two biological children with Heide is half-siblings with Jana makings them both half-siblings and uncle/aunt to Elliot Rush and his sister.

Although Errol and Jana are no longer a couple, he said that she and her two children came to stay at his home in Pretoria, South Africa. 

“They spent a few days here about six months ago. And the kids were starting to get on my nerves. Then I miss them as soon as they have gone,” he said adding that he would like to have more children. “If I could have another child, I would. I can’t see any reason not to.”

Elon Musk has not publicly commented about his father’s scandalous relationship and is estranged.

“He (Errol) was such a terrible human being. You have no idea. My dad will have a carefully thought-out plan of evil,” he says. “He will plan evil…..You have no idea about how bad. Almost every crime you can possibly think of, he has done. Almost every evil thing you could possibly think of, he has done. Um…,” Elon Musk tearfully spoke of his father in an interview with The Rolling Stones. “I can’t remember the last time I cried. You’ve never seen me cry.”
