In an Instagram post on Thursday, Haack, 38, announced the news, “Bittersweet news to announce, it’s the end of an era. Next week’s episode of Flip or Flop will be the SERIES finale.”
“I’m filled with gratitude to have done 10 seasons of a hit show. I remember filming the pilot and thinking, “wouldn’t this be crazy if this actually made it to network tv?” And here we are, a decade later,” she added.
She went on to thank her viewers as well as crew members in the show’s decade of airing. “I’m excited to see what the next 10 years has in store and can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on behind the scenes,“ she said full of optimism.
Tarek El Moussa, 40 shares two children with Christina Haack- 11-year-old daughter Taylor and 6-year-old son Braydon.
El Moussa too revealed the end of the show’s run, “New Flip or Flop episode airs tonight! And with just two episodes left, the end of this season is a bit more bittersweet… after an incredible 10-year run, Flip or Flop is coming to an end. This show would not have been possible without all of you following along, so THANK YOU!”
He also teased his viewers about his upcoming project, “You guys have been with us through it all—you watched me beat cancer, you’ve watched the babies grow up into the most amazing little humans, and everything in between. But I’m not going anywhere and I can promise that you are going to love what comes next!”
He ended his announcement on a positive enthusiastic note, “With only TWO episodes left, we’ve definitely saved the best for last! Who’s excited to tune in tonight and next week to see us take on some of our coolest flips yet?”
Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack were married for almost ten years before divorcing in 2018. They did, however, continue to co-host the show.
The news comes less than a year after the former pair had a brawl on the set of Flip or Flop where El Moussa compared Christina Haack to his current wife, Heather Rae Young. He also reportedly bragged that he made his ex-wife’s career.
Both Haack and El Moussa have their own solo shows on HGTV- Christina on the Coast premiered in 2019 while Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa premiered in 2021.
Following their divorce, each has moved on in their personal life as well. Hack welcomed her third child- Hudson London Antstead with Ant Anstead in 2019 but divorced him just after three years of marriage.
Tarek El Moussa got engaged to Selling Sunset host Heather Rae Young in August 2020 and married in October 2021. They have been trying to start a family which is well documented on their social media pages.
