Father’s Day: Rumer Willis shares update on dad Bruce’s dementia progression
Rumer Willis updated her father Bruce Willis’ dementia battle on Father’s Day 2025.
She wrote on Instagram, “Today is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I’m doing and what’s going on in my life. To hug you and ask you about life and your stories and struggles and successes.”

Her heart-wrenching tribute continued, “I wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all. But I know you wouldn’t want me to be sad today so I’ll try to just be grateful reminding myself how lucky I am that you’re my dad and that you’re still with me and I can still hold you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head I can tell you stories.”

“I can watch the way your eyes light up when you see Louetta (granddaughter) I will be grateful for every moment I have with you. I love you so much dad happy Father’s Day,” Rumer Willis concluded alongside a collage of family pictures.

The Hollywood star stepped out of the spotlight in 2022 after he was diagnosed with aphasia.
His family revealed, in 2023, he was battling frontotemporal dementia, which affects patients’ speech and behavior.

Besides Rumer, the 70-year-old shares three daughters with supermodel ex-wife Demi Moore - Scout Willis, 33, and Tallulah Willis, 31.
After 13 years of marriage, Demi and Bruce divorced in 2000 and have since maintained an amicable relationship.
The 62-year-old Substance star reportedly visits Bruce every week as he battles dementia
Bruce also shares two daughters: Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with wife Emma Heming, 46.
Heming often updates on her family via social media, including her husband’s health struggles.
