Last Modified: 9th Sep

While leaving the Manhattan Criminal Court on December 6, 2019, Harvey Weinstein was pictured using a walker.

However just a few days later he was spotted at a Target in Mount Kisco, NY, near Bedford, with his family striding without a walker or any support, Page Six reported. However, Harvey Weinstein was pictured using walker again while leaving the Manhattan Criminal Court on December 11, 2019.

The source concluded saying, “He’s just using it for sympathy”. However, the 67-year-old disgraced mogul’s representatives told that he had undergone a three-hour surgery on his back on Thursday, “He had a bilateral laminectomy and is now recovering, and will be remaining one night in the hospital.”

His attorney Donna Rotunno said, “We wanted him (Harvey Weinstein) to use a walker last week, and Mr. Weinstein didn’t want the press to think he was seeking sympathy.”

At the hearing,  Weinstein’s lawyer proposed a $47 million deal that would be funded by the Weinstein insurers. The proposed pool’s $25 million would go to victims, $12 million for legal defense costs for the Weinstein brothers and company directors, and the remainder of  $47 million would go toward business creditors of The Weinstein Companies.

The deal has been called outrageous as it offers far too little money to victims and far too much cash to Weinstein’s attorneys while there is a possibility that it can financially benefit Weinstein and his brother Bob Weinstein as well.
