It was confirmed that MTV has cut ties with 27-year-old Jenelle Evans, Teen Mom 2 star after her husband David Eason, 30 allegedly shot and killed Evans’ pet dog, Nugget, after it bit their daughter Ensley, 2, in the face. MTV spokesperson released a statement,

“MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since. Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.”

Sources have revealed that Evans “is focusing on what's best for her and the kids and MTV made the statement before letting her know." The source also shared that she “was crying when she found out about being fired and She [isn't] going to stop”

After shooting

A source had revealed that she is not talking to her husband after the incident,

“David shot the dog after it came after Ensley. Jenelle has all the kids with her and is not talking to David right now. She’s very upset and is taking time to figure out what she wants to do.”

Since then, Jenelle Evans took to Instagram on May 2 with a pic of herself with her dog, 

“Nugget... I’m crying everyday. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless. You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me. You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. 

Everyday I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed... you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back.”

Accused of a publicity stunt

According to the texts, which Evans had released to the media on 3 May, Nugget nipped at their daughter. Eason then flew into a rage, grabbed the dog, and threw her outside, where he hit her.  

The dog then ran to the woods where he chased after the dog before shooting and killing her with a shotgun. Evans was then accused of using her dead dog as a publicity stunt and exploiting the death of her pet by social media users.

David Eason's post

Last week, Eason posted a video where he revealed that their French Bulldog, Nugget, is becoming aggressive towards their daughter Ensley. 

He shared that their dog had scratched Ensley on the face as the toddler had tried to hug him. He defended his actions on Instagram,

“I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face… whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I don’t put up with that s— at all. I’m all about protecting my family, it is my life’s mission. 

Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me. You can hate me all you want but this isn’t the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge wether or not a animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME.”

Marriage, assault, and controversy

The couple who tied the knot in September 2017 has a daughter together, named Ensley. Jenelle Evans also has an 8-year-old son Jace and a 4-year-old son Kaiser, from previous relationships.

This is not the first time, David Eason has been a subject of controversy. In February 2018, Eason was fired from Teen Mom 2 after posting homophobic tweets.

In October 2018, TMZ obtained Evans’s 911 call where she reported that her husband had “pinned me down on the ground in the yard” and physically assaulted her after a night of heavy drinking. 

David Eason then fled in his truck. The truth of the incident did not surface later, no charges were filed and the two soon reconciled.
