Joe Zee and husband Rob Younkers welcome daughter via surrogate

Fashion designer Joe Zee and her husband  Rob Younkers are new parents. The couple welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Vivian Magic Younkers-Zee, via surrogate in late April 2020.

Zee, 51 took to Instagram to write a heartfelt announcement, “We are Dads!!! When you think you know what love is, looking into her eyes the moment she came into this world changed all that and we couldn't be happier, full of hopes and dreams for her.”

“Vivi is a true bright light we both need right now, and we are eternally thankful and grateful to Dr. Osuebi and all of the incredible nurses and doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota who were so kind and patient and warm in the delivery and care of our happy, healthy daughter.”

He also thanked their “wonderful surrogate” who resides in Minnesota, “But most of all, we are so grateful to our wonderful surrogate and her family — who we are proud to call our friends — who watched over Vivi and cared for her all these months. Vivi Magic, you are so loved.”

The excited dad also revealed their daughter Vivian Magic Younkers-Zee was born on April 21, 2020, at 12:48 pm CT weighing 6lbs 11oz and 19.5 inches tall.

The couple had gotten married in October 218 and had reluctantly revealed they were expecting a baby in late March.

“No one is ever completely ready to be parents and if parenting is jumping constant hurdles (many of which we have already lived through), then having a baby just as this country will be peaking with Covid-19 and traveling back with her, is literally kicking it off with an Ironman Triathlon,” Joe Zee had written, “We know she will be healthy and strong and full of character and compassion and even writing this post is making us emotional right now.”
