Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich separate after three years of marriage

After much speculation on the marriage of Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich, they have confirmed that they are indeed separating.

The pair - who wed in July 2017 after getting engaged in 2017 – released a joint statement to People after rumors arose after they revealed they were quarantining in different states.

“We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate,” the statement which announced their split read “We share an abundance of love and respect for one another and will continue to lead with our hearts from that place. We kindly request your compassion and respect for our privacy moving forward.”

The 31-year-old singer, dancer, and former AGT host frequently shared cryptic messages on social media about her former NHL player husband, 36.

Not long after Hough was seen in an Instagram post not wearing her wedding ring, Laich spoke about a “new stage of life calling,” in December.

In the September 2019 issue of Women’s Health, Julianne Hough revealed that she was “not straight.” “I [told him], ‘You know I’m not straight, right?’ And he was like, ‘I’m sorry, what?’ I was like, ‘I’m not. But I choose to be with you,’”
