Katherine Heigl undergoes neck surgery- shares picture of her neck brace

Katherine Heigl is now a “bionic” after a successful neck surgery intended to free her from “the most excruciating pain.”

The 42-year-old Firefly Lane star shared pictures on social media which featured her recovering in a neck brace. In the series of pictures, she is seen on her hospital bed with a bandage on her neck, with a neck brace in her home, and an X-ray showing the new titanium disks.

“Two titanium disk now inhabit my neck and I can probably stand on my head for like hours...I’m not gonna try it just yet but give me a few months and I’ll blow your mind!!” she jokingly began in the lengthy caption.

Heigl is a mother with singer-songwriter husband Josh Kelley to three children- Nancy, Adalaide, and Joshua.

She went on to thank the team of doctors who worked on her neck, “I am so deeply deeply grateful to the incredible Dr’s and care team that saved me from the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced and blessed me with a new pain free lease on life! I really feel like they deserve a big giant shoutout of gratitude and appreciation so I’m gonna give it to them!”

She also shared how “scary” going into surgery is, “Heading into surgery and hospital stays is always a bit scary and you guys could not have made me feel more comfortable or taken care of! Thank you thank you thank you!!”

She did not reveal the cause of her injury.
