Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are pregnant with their second child together, People confirmed citing multiple sources.
They welcomed daughter Lyla Marie in August 2020. The Guardian of the Galaxy star also shares 9-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris, whom he was married to from 2009 to 2018.
The news of the high-profile couple comes just days after Schwarzenegger celebrated her 32nd birthday.
Pratt, 42, had written a heartfelt message to his wife via Instagram on her birthday. “Happy Birthday Honey! You are such a wonderful wife, mother, stepmother, and life partner. I simply can’t imagine how lost I’d be without you. You’re beautiful, tough as nails, reasonable, deeply thoughtful, extraordinarily smart, you’re a complete boss, eternally driven and you communicate like no other.” he wrote.
He went on to thank Schwarzenegger for “being so instrumental” in his growth over the past few years.”
Chris Pratt continued, “We fit so perfectly into each other’s lives that our Union is a daily reminder that God is looking out for us. Navigating the odd circumstances of our world is a task I cannot handle alone. And I’m so grateful I don’t have to. Your commitment to helping others is contagious. I’m just so grateful for the harmony you continually bring to our household.”
Schwarzenegger and Pratt began dating in June 2018 after Maria Shriver, Schwarzenegger’s mother, introduced them. Their relationship escalated just months later, announcing their engagement on social media in January 2019. They tied the knot on June 8, 2019, in Montecito, California.
Chris Pratt came under fire after he thanked his wife for giving him a “healthy daughter” via Instagram. The post’s comment section accumulated with criticism, noting that the term he used- healthy- seemed to “shade” his son Jack.
Jack was born prematurely and visually impaired and had to undergo numerous operations to treat his condition(s).
