After years of relationship, actors Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons have finally married. The couple tied the knot in Jamaica at the luxury GoldenEye resort in Ocho Rios.

Dunst’s representative confirmed the news, “I can just confirm they got married. No other details will be given.”

Dunst, 40, and Plemons, 34, had been dating for six years after meeting on the set of Fargo in 2015 where they played a married couple. However, they did not start dating until 2016 after the Spiderman actress and her then-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund broke up.

In January 2017 they had gotten engaged over Golden Globes weekend. The pair went on to welcome Son Ennis in the spring of 2018 while their second child- James Robert was born in mid-2021.

The celebrity couple reached another milestone in their career after both were nominated for the Oscars for their work in the film The Power of the Dog in which they played newlyweds.

In a February 2022 interview with LA Times, Kirsten Dunst shared that they “call each other husband and wife” and had to push back their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as welcoming a second baby.

“We have to get married at this point. It’s ridiculous. We just haven’t planned a wedding. I didn’t want to be pregnant, get married, have a party, and not be able to have fun with everybody.” the actress had said.

At Dunst’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony held in August 2019, Plemons recalled meeting her for the first time, “Immediately, without too many words being exchanged, I looked into her eyes and saw the beautiful, sweet, unguarded, welcoming human being that she is.”

Dunst too speaks fondly of her husband. “We were two people who worked very similarly, and it felt like a soulmate...I knew he would be in my life forever” she had said.
