Maren Morris took to Instagram on Juen 12, 2019 to tease the fans on her upcoming collaboration with Playboy.

The country singer sat on the couch, topless with a cowboy hat and orange pants while in the second shot added a cow printed cowboy boots to her attire. She captioned, “strip it down. something with @playboy is coming next week...”

Within 24 hours the photo gathered more than 90,000 likes and more than 1,500 comments. While fellow celebrated and fans praised her pictures, it also gathered negative comments.

The 29-year-old Maren Morris then took to Instagram Story and posted to defend herself,

"The thing about me is, I make music for myself. I learned later that it touches others, which is the most wonderful byproduct of a songwriter’s calling.

Some can slut-shame me for my lyrics about sex, and you can put me in your little box, but I just want to live and love. I recently accepted myself and will put these photos in a frame because I'll never have this moment back.”

Her husband  Ryan Hurd also backed her up with a post on Morris' photos, captioned "taken...sorry boys and girls."
