Paris Hilton and husband Carter Reum welcome first child

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum are new parents!

Socialite turned businesswoman Paris Hilton, 41, announced on Tuesday that she and her husband Carter Reum, 41, welcomed their first child, a baby boy, via surrogate.

The Simple Life star posted a picture of herself holding the newborn’s hand. “You are already loved beyond words,” she wrote alongside the post.

The new mother spoke to People, “It’s always been my dream to be a mother, and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together, and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”

The Hilton heiress is yet to reveal the name of her son.

Hilton and Reum, who is a DJ, got engaged in February 2021 and married in November 2021 and since have been very vocal about their plans to undergo IVF treatment to start a family in the near future.

In an April 2022 appearance on The Bellas Podcast, Reum shared, “[We’ve] been talking about kids since the beginning — since the first couple, like, months of dating.”

In late 2022, Paris Hilton’s mother Kathy Hilton updated on the couple’s IVF journey, adding that they had struggles getting pregnant.

“I don’t know where she got that,” she said- adding that they “have tons of embryos … stocked up” and “waiting.”

Paris Hilton later shot down her mother’s claims on Instagram stories, “My husband and I always wanted to enjoy our first year of marriage together as a couple and we we’re [sic] always planning on starting our family in 2023.”

She also told PEOPLE, “We started going and doing it like a few months in because the world was shut down. We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, 'This is perfect timing. Usually, I'm on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let's just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,' and we have tons of them just waiting."

The Hilton siblings are now all parents. Nicky Hilton shares three children- Lily-Grace, 6, Teddy, 5, and a 6-month-old son with her husband James Rothschild while Barron Hilton II and his wife Tessa Gräfin von Walderdorff are parents to Milou, 2, and Caspian, 4 months.

This is the second child for Carter Reum, as he shares daughter Evie with Secrets of Aspen alum Laura Bellizzi- born in 2011. He revealed in November 2021 that he “supports” his daughter despite not having “a traditional father-daughter relationship.”
