Perrie Edwards, boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain welcomes first child together

Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards is a new mom!

The footballer and singer, both English and 28 years old welcomed her first child early Saturday morning. The couple announced the news on Instagram with the first pictures of their newborn.

“Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21,” Edwards wrote on the post while Oxlade-Chamberlain wrote “Welcome to the world little one. 21/08/21,”  Oxlade-Chamberlain wrote on his.

Although the pair did not reveal the face of their newborn, one picture showed the baby’s full head of hair and the other shows the baby’s foot placed on Oxlade-Chamberlain’s hand. They are also yet to share the sex of the baby.

For Oxlade-Chamberlain and Edwards, who announced her pregnancy in May, this is their first child.

“So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate. Me + Him = You. We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!,” Edwards had written alongside the picture of then cradling the baby bump with all smiles.

Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were first linked romantically in November 2016 but did not publicize their relationship until January 2017.

Edwards was previously in a high-profile relationship with One Direction singer Zayn Malik for a total of four years including being engaged to him for two years. They broke up in 2015 with Edwards revealing Malik dumped her via text message which left her homeless as she was on tour.

Malik went on to date supermodel Gigi Hadid and welcomed daughter Khai Hadid Malik in September 2020.
