Pete Buttigieg Welcomes 'Old Town Road' rapper Lil Nas X to LGBTQ

Pete Buttigieg, the first openly gay Democratic presidential candidate welcomed Old Town Road rapper Lil Nas X into the LGBTQ community after he came out in June 2019, on World Pride Day.

Buttigieg took to Twitter,

“.@LilNasX has gone from viral sensation to groundbreaking musician. As a fan, I’m thrilled and inspired to see him standing in his truth as a member of the LGBTQ community. Welcome to the family! #pride.”

The 20-year-old rapper asked his fans to listen closely to his new song c7osure via Twitter. He had written,

“some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm no more. but before this month ends i want y’all to listen closely to c7osure.”
