Quentin Tarantino and wife Daniella Pick pregnant with second baby
Quentin Tarantino and his wife Daniella Pick are expecting a child together. This will be the second one for the couple.
The 58-year-old director confirmed the news on Wednesday. It was further reported by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth that the 38-year-old singer and model, who is the daughter of Israeli pop star Svika Pick, was due to give birth in the next few months.
Tarantino and Pick are also parents to son Leo, who was born in February 2020. The pair had actually met in 2009 while Oscar-winning screenwriter Tarantino was promoting the film Inglourious Basterds in Israel. After reconnecting, they married in 2018.
Talking about the choice to name their son Leo, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director shared, “We almost didn’t name him [Leo] because people would assume that I named him after Leonardo DiCaprio. There’s nothing wrong with that but I didn’t. He’s named after my wife’s grandfather, but also because, just in our hearts, he was our little lion.”
For the Pulp Fiction director, Leo was his first child. In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning in July, he revealed how emotional he’s been since becoming a father.
“If I talk about it too much, I’m already going to start crying if I talk about it too,” Tarantino talked about his fatherhood, “I can’t even see his name written on a piece of paper without crying. It’s just, he’s my little Leo. He’s my little lion. And I just see his name, L-E-O written down isolated. And it just, when it comes to him, he’s just the most charming human being I’ve ever met in my life.”
