Serena Williams, husband Alexis Ohanian shares pregnancy news to daughter Olympia

Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian broke the news of the pregnancy to their 5-year-old daughter Olympia in the most adorable way possible.

The tennis player shared a video of the intimate family moment on the YouTube video titled Olympia’s Surprise.

“Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant. But she did call me fat and then she got like really stressed out...She’s like, ‘Mommy, you are fat.’ I tried not to take it personally coz I’m super into fitness but I’m like.. ‘ummm am I’ We are gonna tell her a little bit before and I’m really really excited to see her reaction,” Williams said at the beginning of the video.

In the 4-minute video, Ohanian and Williams sat down their toddler and said, “Remember how you have been praying for a little sister or a brother. Well, we went to the doctor and it turns out I’m not getting fat but I have a baby in my belly.”

After Ohanian added that she is going to be a big sister, Olympia Olympia responded, “Are you kidding me?” before going in to hug her athlete mom, laughing and excited.

“Oh my god, I’m so excited,” Olympia said before she went excitingly screaming and laughing around the room.

The soon-to-be father chimed in, “We thought you’d be excited. You got a lot of work to do. You got to do a lot of work getting ready to be a big sister.”

“You still gotta help us keep it a secret for one more day. Okay?” he added.

Serena Williams and her Reddit co-founder husband Alexis Ohanian shared the news with Olympia on the day of the 2023 Met Gala – where she announced her pregnancy to the world.

The 23-time Grand Slam champ wore a black Gucci gown with sheer sleeves and a white tulle skirt accessorized with a layered pearl necklace and matching headband.

Williams and Ohanian, who married on November 16, 2017, welcomed their first child in September 2017.
