‘Succession’ actress Sarah Snook welcomed first child with husband Dave Lawson

Sarah Snook is now a new mother.

The actress secretly welcomed her and her husband Dave Lawson’s first baby together.

Snook took to Instagram to share the exciting news on Monday – sharing a picture of herself holding her child after watching the show’s season finale.

"It’s hard to express what this show has meant to me. The places I got to go, the immense talent I got to work with…it breaks my heart that it is all over,” she said, “But my heart had to be this full of all the memories, good times, challenges, and triumphs, to be able to break at all…so that makes me grateful.”

She continued, “To have been blessed to join this crazy adventure of a show will be a career highlight, which will no doubt be hard to top. I am so, so proud and humbled by everyone’s hard work season after season: we all set the bar high for each other, then exceeded it and excelled, in every department..”

The Emmy nominee added, “I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again..”

Snook, who plays Shiv Roy in Succession, concluded, “Thank you for all the love and support..”

In March 2023, the 35-year-old actress debuted her baby bump in a black jumpsuit at the premiere of season 4 of the HBO series. She was 32 weeks pregnant at the time.

This is the first child of the couple, who wed in February 2021 in a backyard wedding in Brooklyn.

Snook gushed at the time, “It’s been a ride. There’s so much heartache and sadness in the world, but on a micro personal level, I’ve been very fortunate.”

They were friends for six years before they started dating in 2020 and got engaged in October 2020 after she proposed to her boyfriend.

In an October 2021 interview with Vogue, she explained, “We’ve … lived together, travelled together, always excited to see each other, but totally platonic. We’ve just never been single at the same time.”

She is, however, stepmother to Lawson’s son from his previous relationship.
