Fans are far from happy with Cardi B after her slip-up at the 2024 Met Gala.

Despite her enormous black gown, which made headlines, she was recently slammed for not knowing the name of the designer of her Met Gala look.

The rapper, well-known for her bold styles and looks, when asked by YouTuber Emma Chamberlain for Vogue on the red carpet about her enormous black gown, she did not seem to name the name of her designer.

“They’re Asian and everything,” the 31-year-old said.

Social media influencer Chamberlain asked the “WAP” singer, “But do you feel amazing? Who made this?”

The rapper replied, “I feel amazing. It’s this amazing designer. They’re Asian and everything. So yeah.”

The Grammy Award winner rocked the dress designed by the Chinese label Windowsen. According to designer Sensen Lii, the piece was made with nearly 3000 meters of organza” and represented garden soil.

The massive gown required nine men to help her up the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s red carpet steps.

Fashion enthusiasts took to social media to express their disappointment after the mom of two did not give a shout-out to Windowsen.

Followers commented on Vogue’s video, “Not knowing the name of the designer is lowkey insulting + calling them Asian and everything… no no!”

“Bro that Asian designer is going to forget her next year,” another commented.

“Don’t worry about Cardi B not remembering your name, we all know who you are now – BABY!” another user wrote on Sensen Lii’s Instagram account.

Another social media user further criticized Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, “I can’t believe all of the artistry and talent leant to her at the Met and you were simply reduced to ‘This Asian Designer.’”
