Danila Kozlovsky is an actor, director by profession, and Russian by nationality. He is well known for portraying roles in the TV series McMafia and in the films Viking, Soulless, and Soulless 2. 

Danila Kozlovsky – Birth, Parents, Siblings

Danila Kozlovsky’s birth took place on 3 May 1985 in Moscow, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. He was born as Danila Valeryevich Kozlovsky to his mother, Nadezhda Zvenigorodskaya, a stage actress, and his father, Valery Kozlovsky, a professor at Moscow State University.

He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings- older brother Yegor Kozlovsky and younger brother Ivan Kozlovsky.

Education, Ethnicity

Kozlovsky attended Kronshtadt Naval Military School from 1996 to 2002 and went on to study acting/directing at Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy. Danila Kozlovsky graduated from the same in 2007.

His ethnicity is Russian.

Kozlovsky married his longtime girlfriend, Urszula Malka, in 2008. However, this marriage did not last, and he and his wife divorced in 2011.

Danila Kozlovsky went on to date Yulia Snigir in 2012, but broke up just after a year of dating.

He was in a relationship with Olya Zueva, also a Russian actress. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Oda Valentina Zueva, in March 2020. They separated in 2020.

In 2020, he began a romantic relationship with Oksana Akinshina.

Danila Kozlovsky – Career

In Theatres

Like his mother, Danila Kozlovsky also showed interest in acting from a young age. In his early years, he was placed in dance and music classes where he learned to play the saxophone and the alto. His debut role was during his fourth year in college on the stage of the Little Drama Theatre, where he played Edgar in 2006’s King Lear. 

Kozlovsky then went on to portray roles in the theatre productions of Life and Fate, Lord of the Flies, Intrigue and Love, The Cherry Orchard, etc. 

Finally, in 2005, Danila Kozlovsky landed his first role in the historical drama film Garpastum. This was followed by roles in the films Black Hunters (2008), Jolly Fellows (2009), and Need for Speed: The Run (2011).

Breakthrough

In 2012, Danila Kozlovsky was cast in the film Soulless, where he played the lead role of Max Andreev. Since then, he has starred in Legend No. 17 (2013), Vampire Academy (2014), Soulless 2 (2015), Hardcore Henry (2016), Viking (2016; movie), Matilda (2017), McMafia (2018), Coach (2018), Chernobyl: Abyss (2021), Molodoy Cgelovek (2022), Bar Odin zvonok (2025).
