Dave Chappelle is a funny man in the Hollywood show business. With his major comeback in 2013, the stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer has been making headlines ever since.
Dave Chappelle – Age, Parents, Siblings
Dave Chappelle was born David Khari Webber Chappelle in Washington, D.C., U.S. on August 24, 1973. His father’s name is William David Chappelle III who worked as a statistician and later worked as a professor at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. His mother’s name is Yvonne K. Chappelle Seon worked as a professor, teaching r at Howard University, Prince George's Community College, and the University of Maryland.
Chappelle is not the only child of his parents. His sister is Felicia Chappelle Jones and his brother is William S. Chappelle. All were raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. But after his parents separated, he lived with his mother in Washington while his summer days were spent with his father in Ohio.

Chappelle attended the Woodlin Elementary School for his primary education. He graduated from Washington's Duke Ellington School of the Arts in 1991 with a degree in theatre arts.
His ethnicity is African-American.

Dave Chappelle is a happily married man and has been married to his longtime girlfriend Elaine Mendoza Erfe for the last 18 years. The couple tied the knot in June 2001 after dating. Elaine is of Filipino descent.
He and his wife have two children - sons Ibrahim Chappelle and Sulayman Chappelle and a daughter Sonal Chappelle together. The family currently resides in Ohio. The couple is currently living without rumors of extra-marital affairs or divorce.

Early Days
His first appearance was in an episode of ABC's America's Funniest People which aired on September 13, 1990. He then moved to New York to become a comedian and performed at Harlem's famed Apollo Theater to even the city’s parks.
Chappelle's career took a turn for good when he was featured in Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam on HBO receiving critical acclaim. He then began to be a guest star on different shows such as Politically Incorrect, The Late Show With David Letterman, The Howard Stern Show, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, etc.
His other shows include Buddies, Half-Hour (1998), and Dave Chappelle's Block Party (2004) among others. Chappelle also recorded his comedy specials such as Dave Chappelle: Killin' Them Softly (2000), and Dave Chappelle: For What It's Worth (2004).

Dave Chappelle has also played roles in movies and series such as Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Bowl of Pork (1997), Getting In (1994), The Nutty Professor (1996), Con Air (1997), The Larry Sanders Show (1998), Half Baked (1998), You've Got Mail (1998), Blue Streak (1999), Undercover Brother (2002), Chi-Raq (2015), Jerry Seinfeld's Netflix series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
In 2003, he was given his own show on Comedy Central called Chappelle's Show which was a massive success. He walked away from the show In June 2004.
To promote the film Block Party All-Stars Chappelle took a tour in several cities in February and March 2006. Chappelle made his comeback in August 2013 and took up full-time touring. To promote his touring dates, he made guest appearances on The Today Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Late Show with David Letterman.

Chappelle’s hosting debut on Saturday Night Live was on November 12, 2016, for which he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
Netflix announced on November 21, 2016, that his special will be released. After the first two successful releases, his third special Equanimity, and fourth special The Bird Revelation was filmed in September 2017 and on November 20, 2017, respectively.
Dave Chappelle won the Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album for the first two specials The Age of Spin & Deep in the Heart of Texas in 2016.
