David Cross – Age, Parents, Siblings
David Cross was born on April 4, 1964, in Roswell, Georgia, U.S.A. His parents are Barry and Susi Cross. His father Barry Cross is British while his mother Susi Cross is American. When Cross was only a six-month-old baby, his family moved to Florida, then to New York and Connecticut, before finally settling back in Roswell, Georgia. He is not the only child of his parents and has two younger siblings - sisters named Juli Cross and Wendy Cross.
Growing up, Cross lived in poverty. His father walked out on his family when he was 10 years old. He shared that he does not have any relationship with his father and has not talked to each other since he was 19. The financial situation got so worse that his family was evicted from their Georgia home. So, Cross had to live in motels and friends’ homes for some time.
Education, Ethnicity
For education, David Cross joined Northside High School, from which he also graduated. He attended Emerson College in Boston but dropped out only after a semester.
His ethnicity is Ashkenazi Jewish.

David Cross – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
David Cross began to date Amber Tamblyn in 2007. Four years later, the couple got engaged in August 2011 and he finally tied the knot with his girlfriend on 6 October 2012. Tamblyn is 19 years younger than Cross.
With his wife, he has a child, a daughter was born on February 21, 2017. Cross joked that he had named his daughter Dauphinoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Fünkinstein Mustard Witch RBG Cross Tamblyn-Bey Jr.
The same year in March, Cross’ daughter’s name was announced to be Marlow Alice Cross. As of 2020, the couple is living without rumors of extra-marital affairs or divorce.
David Cross – Career
Early Days
Cross’ career in comedy began when he was 17 years old, beginning to perform stand-up comedy. After he graduated from high school, he moved to New York without a plan for his future. There for some time, he did odd jobs, fulfilling his basic needs while also continuing his comedy work.
In the early 1990s, he formed a group with 12 other performers and put on a new show every week. As his fame and work experience expanded, Joe Frank hired him to appear in radio programs A Hearing, Jam (1999), Unfictional, and The Last Run.

He has portrayed characters in movies such as Men in Black (1997), Men in Black II (2002), Arrested Development, Just Shoot Me!, NewsRadio, Strangers with Candy, Scary Movie 2 (2001), She's the Man (2006), Life Without Dick (2002), I'm Not There (2007), Pitch Perfect 2 (2015), Melvin Goes to Dinner (2003).
Cross is also a voice actor and has lent his voice to characters in movies such as Dr. Dolittle 2 (2001), Curious George, Battle for Terra, Kung Fu Panda (2008), Megamind (2010), Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011), Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016), Wonder Park (2019).

David Cross – Controversy
He was sued by Nashville club owner Thomas Weber in October 2005, accusing him of taping him without permission for Shut Up You F**king Baby and Let America Laugh.
In a 2012 interview with Playboy magazine, Cross revealed that he had taken cocaine at the 2009 White House Correspondents' Dinner.
He also has criticized stand-up comedian Larry the Cable Guy, Inside the Actors Studio host James Lipton, Creed, and its lead singer, Scott Stapp. For his appearance in Alvin and the Chipmunks, Cross was greatly criticized.
