Who is Keelan Doss?

Keelan Doss is a football player by profession and American by nationality. He is a wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League, having played college football at UC Davis.

Keelan Doss’ birth took place on March 21, 1996, in Alameda, California, USA. He was born to a Caucasian mother and an African-American father is the only child of his parents and does not have any siblings.

Keelan Doss – Career

Undrafted

Doss was initially projected to be taken between the third and fifth rounds in the 2019 NFL Draft but was left undrafted. On April 28, 2019, Keelan Doss signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent. 

But he was waived on August 31, 2019, without having played in a few NFL games. His first NFL game was on April 11, 2019, and had played for his hometown team, the Alameda native.

Keelan Doss was signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad on September 01, 2019. However, with the release of controversial NFL player Antonio Brown by the Raiders gave Doss a new opportunity.

Re-signed

Just a week later, on September 08, 2019, the Oakland Raiders re-signed him to their active roster. His contract included $495,000 in base salary and a $300,000 signing bonus. 

Jacksonville Jaguars did not want to let him go. When the Raiders tried to sign Doss off the Jaguars’ practice squad, the Jaguars “immediately gave Doss a full salary as if he were on the active roster.”
