Who is Larry Birkhead?

Larry Birkhead is a photographer by profession and American by nationality. He is the former lover of late Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith and the father of her daughter Dannielynn Birkhead and is well known for the Birkhead paternity case.

Larry Birkhead’s birth took place on January 22, 1973, in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. He was born Larry Earl Birkhead to his father Larry L. Birkhead and his mother Nancy Birkhead. He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings- twin brother Lewis Birkhead, sister Angela Birkhead, and half-sister Judy Birkhead.

For education Larry Birkhead attended Doss High School, graduating in 1991. He went on to study at the University of Louisville where he earned a degree in journalism. 

His ethnicity is Caucasian.

Larry Birkhead – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce

Larry Birkhead first met Anna Nicole Smith (born Vickie Lynn Hogan) in May 2004 at the Kentucky Derby. The couple dated on/off for years. His ex-girlfriend Smith gave birth to their daughter Dannielynn Birkhead on September 7, 2006.

After Anna Nicole Smith died due to an accidental prescription overdose, just 5 months after her daughter’s birth, the highly publicized Birkhead paternity case took place.

Other relationships of Larry Birkhead are not known to the public. He has never married and is without a wife and as he has never been married, divorce is out of context.

Larry Birkhead – Birkhead Paternity Case

At the time Dannielynn was born,  her birth certificate contained Howard K. Stern as the biological father. Stern was the attorney, agent, and live-in partner of his ex-flame Anna Nicole Smith.  However, after the death of Smith, Larry Birkhead filed a lawsuit claiming to be the father of Dannielynn.

Aside from Birkhead and Stern,  Alexander Denk, Mark Hatten, and Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt also claimed to be the father of the child. On April 10, 2017, it was confirmed via DNA analysis that he is, in fact, the biological father of Dannielynn, whose last name was eventually changed from Stern to Birkhead.
