Who is Louis C.K.?
Louis C.K. is a man with a sense of humor and has made a career out of it. The American-Mexican stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and filmmaker is best known for working in The Chris Rock Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Chewed Up, Louie, and Saturday Night Live (SNL).
Louis C.K. – Age, Parents, Siblings
Louis C.K. was born on September 12, 1967, in Washington, D.C., the U.S. His birth name/full name is Louis Székely, Louis C.K. being his stage name. His mother Mary Louise worked as a software engineer and his father Luis Székely worked as an economist. C.K.’s parents had met at Harvard University and later had married at St. Francis Church in Traverse City, Michigan.
He has siblings as well- three sisters. He along with his 3 sisters was raised by his single mother.
Family, Childhood
When C.K. was only a year old, the family moved to Mexico, which is his father’s home country. There he lived until he was 7 and learned Spanish as his first language. After moving back to the US and settling in Boston, at the age of 7, he started to learn English. But when he was a 10-year-old boy, his parents divorced. He hardly saw his father after his father remarried, then moved to Mexico with his new family.

C.K. wanted to become a writer and a comedian when he was young. Louis C.K. attended Newton North High School and graduated from the same in 1985.
His ethnicity includes Hungarian, Mexican, American, and Irish.

Louis C.K. – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
Louis C.K. met Alix Bailey, an artist at a New Year's Eve party in Boston when they both were 18. Five minutes later, he proposed to her! He was very much drunk so Bailey laughed.
Fifteen years later, they again met in New York City through a mutual friend. After dating, he and his girlfriend decided to take their relationship to the next level. C.K. and Bailey married in 1995. With his wife, he has two daughters together- Mary Louise Szekely and Kitty Szekely.
Unfortunately, after more than 13 years of marriage, their marriage ended in divorce in 2008. C.K. and Bailey share joint custody of their children.
He has been dating his girlfriend Blanche Gardin since 2018.
Louis C.K. – Career
Early Days
After graduating from high school, C.K. first worked as an auto mechanic, at a public access TV cable station, as a cook, and in a video store.
His career in Television started in 1984, at the age of 17. He had directed a comedic short film Trash Day. Seeing his work, New York University Tisch School of the Arts did take interest in him as a filmmaker, but he refused to pursue his career in Comedy.
Louis C.K.'s first show as a comedian was in 1985 at a comedy club in Boston. His experience was so bad that he felt discouraged and did not perform for the next two years!

Films, TV series
In 1989, he moved to Manhattan. Over the years he has performed in Evening at the Improv, Star Search, Ice Cream (1993), and hosted Saturday Night Live on November 3, 2012.
Louis C.K. also wrote for Conan O'Brien on Late Night with Conan O'Brien from 1993 to 1994 and for David Letterman on Late Show with David Letterman in 1995. He was a head writer for The Dana Carvey Show and a writer for The Chris Rock Show.
C.K. is a filmmaker too. He has made films such as Tomorrow Night (1998), Howie Mandel's Sunny Skies (1995), Pootie Tang (2001), Down to Earth (2001), and I Think I Love My Wife (2007).
Louis C.K. – Awards, Nominations
For his brilliant work in Comedy and Television over the last three decades, he has received several awards. In 2012, was awarded Peabody Award. As of 2019, he has received six Primetime Emmy Awards- including Best Writing in a Variety or Comedy Series in 1999, and a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album twice.

Louis C.K. – Accused of sexual misconduct
Five women have accused Louis C.K. of sexual misconduct, dating back more than a decade. The accusations came to light in late 2017.
The comedy duo, Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov accused C.K. of sexual misconduct in 2002. They revealed that he had invited them to hang out in his hotel room after their late-night show. After they reached the hotel room, he asked if he could take out his p****!
Dana and Julia thought of it as a joke and laughed it off until he actually undressed and m*****bated in front of them!
Similar accusations were made by Abby Schachner and Rebecca Corry. A fifth woman who chose to stay anonymous also told her tale which was back in the late 1990s and she was working in production at The Chris Rock Show.

She was in her early 20s back then and C.K. asked her to watch him m*****bate repeatedly. She did go on with his request and questioned his behavior later.
“It was something that I knew was wrong. I think the big piece of why I said yes was because of the culture,” she said, “He abused his power.”
Louis C.K. admitted to the allegations. FX and HBO severed ties with him, and his Netflix special and his movie I Love You, Daddy were both canceled.
