Mark Consuelos is an actor by profession American, and Spanish by nationality. He is well known for his portrayal of Mateo Santos in All My Children and as Hiram Lodge in Riverdale.

Mark Consuelos’ birth took place on March 30, 1971, in Zaragoza, Spain. He was born Mark Andrew Consuelos to an Italian mother Camilla Consuelos and a Mexican father Saul Consuelos. He is not the only child of his parents and has two older siblings. His brother is a doctor and his sister is a lawyer but their names are yet to be shared.

For education, he attended Bloomingdale High School and after graduation enrolled at the University of Notre Dame. However, he transferred to the University of South Florida and graduated in 1994 with a degree in marketing.

He met Kelly Ripa on the set of All My Children, who was also his on-screen love interest. The couple soon started dating and he secretly married his girlfriend on May 1, 1996, in Las Vegas. At that time, Mark Consuelos was living on co-star Winsor Harmon's sofa!
Consuelos and his wife have welcomed three children together - Michael Joseph Consuelos (born June 2, 1997), Lola Grace Consuelos (born June 16, 2001), and Joaquin Antonio Consuelos (born February 24, 2003). The couple is residing without rumors of divorce or extra-marital affairs.

Early Career
Years after completing in education Mark Consuelos decided to pursue his passion for drama and acting. He worked as a male exotic dancer at a club called Stingers. In 1995 he landed his breakthrough role as Mateo Santos in the soap opera All My Children. He portrayed the role until 2001.
In 1997 he starred in the educational serial Connect With English followed by roles in the TV series Friends (2001), American Family (2002), Missing (2004-2006), Hope & Faith (2005-2006), and Age of Love (2007). He has appeared in films The Great Raid (2005), and My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006), among others.

Since 2010
In the recent decade, Mark Consuelos has portrayed roles in the TV series American Horror Story: Asylum (2012-2013), Alpha House (2013-2014), Kingdom (2015), Pitch (2016), Queen of the South (2016), Riverdale (2017- present) as Hiram Lodge. He has also starred in films Cop Out (2010), All We Had (2016), and Nine Lives (2016).
With his wife Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos opened New York-based Milojo Productions in 2008. The company is named after the first two letters of Mark & Kelly's three children - Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.
