Who is Milan Lucic?
Milan Lucic is an ice hockey player by profession and Canadian by nationality. He is currently the left winger and an alternate captain for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Milan Lucic’s birth took place on June 7, 1988, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He was born to his mother Snezana Kesa and his father Dobrivoje Lucic, a longshoreman. He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings- older brother Jovan Lucic and younger brother Nikola Lucic.
His father emigrated from Yugoslavia (now Bosnia and Herzegovina) when he was 27 and his mother moved to Canada from Yugoslavia (now Croatia) at the age of 2. Milan Lucic’s maternal uncle is Dan Kesa, a retired NHL right winger.
Education, Ethnicity
For education, he attended Killarney Secondary School and South Delta Secondary School. At the age of 15, he was diagnosed with Scheuermann's disease where the vertebrae grow unevenly.
His ethnicity is Bosnian, Herzegovinian, and Croatian.

Milan Lucic married his longtime girlfriend Brittany Carnegie on August 27, 2012. He and his wife have three children together- older daughters Valentina Lucic, and Nikolina Lucic, and son Milan Lucic Jr. (born May 17, 2018).
Currently, the couple is happy together without rumors of extra-marital or divorce.

Amateur Career
Milan Lucic began his career as an amateur in 2004. He played with the Coquitlam Express and Vancouver Giants. In the second round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Lucic was selected by the Boston Bruins.

Professional Career
His debut NHL game was on October 5, 2007, with the Boston Bruins, and had been chosen as the Giants' next team captain. He played for the team until the 2013–14 season.
On June 26, 2015, Milan Lucic was traded to the Los Angeles Kings. He played the season with 20 goals and 35 assists for 55 points.
He became an unrestricted free agent the following year and signed with the Edmonton Oilers with a seven-year, $42 million contract.
International games
In 2007, Milan Lucic was named team captain of Canada for the 2007 Super Series against Russia.
He was invited to Canada's summer orientation camp for the 2010 Winter Olympics but did not make it to the final roster. Lucic was again invited to the orientation camp for the 2014 Winter Olympics but this time too could not make it to the final roster.
