Who is Roxanne McKee?

Roxanne McKee is an actress, model by profession, and British, Canadian by nationality. She is best known for her roles in Lip Service (2010), Game of Thrones (2011–2012), Dominion (2014–2015), and The Legend of Hercules (2014).

Roxanne McKee – Age, Parents, Siblings

Roxanne McKee’s birth took place on 10 August 1980 in Canada. As for her Irish parents, siblings, and childhood, McKee has not revealed any facts. But she has mentioned that she has a sibling, and a brother and has talked about her mother, father, and her upbringing in a 2015 interview with Scotsman,

“My parents barely watched any TV when I was growing up. But my mother was a very strong influence on me. She had her own business and worked incredibly hard. My dad worked away from home in computers and she looked after us, and did a lot on her own.”

For education, she attended Royal Holloway, the University of London to study Social Policy & Political Studies. She graduated from there in 2005 with a BA degree in Social Policy & Political Studies.

Her ethnicity is Irish.

Roxanne McKee – Boyfriend, Husband, Children

McKee had been dating Gary Sewell for a long time. She and boyfriend Sewell have not yet married and there were reports that she and Sewell broke up in 2012.

The actress did not update her relationship status for a long time, although she does sometimes feature her lover on Instagram without revealing his face.

According to online sources, currently, McKee is married to Daniel Hurley.

Roxanne McKee – Career

Before fame

McKee’s parents wanted her to study English as she had a natural inclination toward it. But Roxanne McKee, on the other hand, wanted to see the world rather than join a nine-to-five job. So, she began modeling and auditioning for roles. 

In 2005, she landed the main role of Louise Summers in Hollyoaks. She played the same character for a total of 278 episodes until her contract expired in 2008. Already an established actress, McKee had the opportunity to portray roles in the TV series The Persuasionists (2010), Lip Service (2010), etc.

In 2011, she was cast as Doreah in the HBO hit series Game of Thrones, which gained her international fame. She portrayed the role in the first and second seasons.

Since then Roxanne McKee has acted in TV series such as Lewis (2012), Dominion (2014-2015), Strike Back: Retribution (2017-2018), and in films Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines (2012), Vendetta (2013), Killer Obsession (2016), Inside Man Most Wanted  (2019).
