Rumer Willis is an American actress and daughter of Hollywood stars Demi Moore and Bruce Willis.

Rumer Willis was born to a Hollywood power couple Bruce Willis and Demi Moore as Rumer Glenn Willis. She was born on August 16, 1988, in Paducah, Kentucky, U.S.A, at the Western Baptist Hospital. Her mother Demi Moore had even hired a cameraman to record her birth while her father Bruce Willis was filming the 1989 movie In Country.

Needless to say, Rumer Willis’s father is an actor, producer, and singer while her mother is an actress, former songwriter, and a supermodel. Rumer Willis has two younger sisters, Scout LaRue Willis, and Tallulah Belle Willis. 

From her father’s marriage to model Emma Heming, Willis has two paternal half-sisters- Mabel Ray Willis and Evelyn Penn Willis. Moore was married to actor Ashton Kutcher from September 24, 2005, to November 27, 2013. Rumer Willis also had a crush on her to-be stepfather Kutcher before she knew her mother was actually dating him.

Education, Ethnicity

The Willis sisters were raised in Hailey, Idaho. Rumer Willis after graduating high school attended Interlochen Arts Academy. In January 2004, she enrolled at Wildwood Secondary School as a sophomore and graduated from there in June 2006. Willis has also attended the University of Southern California but dropped out after one semester.        

Her ethnicity includes German, English, Dutch, French, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh.

Rumer Willis has been in some high-profile relationships. She dated Rafi Gavron in 2007 but soon broke up. Willis then went on to date Micah Alberti for two years from 2008 to 2010. 

She then had a romantic affair with Jayson Blair from August 2012 to November 2013. After a public split, the two seemed to reconcile in July 2016 after being spotted together at the launch of OUE Skyspace. 10 days later, she uploaded a bikini-clad poolside picture while shirtless Blair patted Willis’ derrière.

She also dated Ricky Whittle in 2014 while there were rumors that she was romantically linked with Chord Overstreet in 2010 and Harry Morton in 2007. It was reported that she was infatuated with dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy after their victory in Dancing With The Stars. She had even gotten a “DWTS” tattoo to honor their victory.

But the two were never in a relationship. After Chmerkovskiy went on to date DWTS Jenna Johnson, Willis had a painful tattoo removal in late 2017.

Currently, Willis is in a relationship with her boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas. They have been dating since early 2022

Early Days

Her career in acting began at the age of 5 in the movie Now and Then (1995). But she was credited as Willa Glen. In 1995, Rumer Willis played in the film Now and Then was released, which also starred her mother. 

She has also worked with her father in two movies The Whole Nine Yards (2000) and Hostage (2005). She has starred in the movies Striptease (1996), The House Bunny (2008), From Within (2008), Sorority Row (2009), Wild Cherry (2009), The Odd Way Home (2013), Once Upon a Time In Hollywood (2019).

Rumer Willis has also been credited for guest appearances in Miss Guided, Army Wives, CSI: NY, Medium, 90210, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Hawaii Five-0 and Workaholics.

Films, Series

In addition, Willis has appeared in season 4 of Teen Drama Mystery Thriller Pretty Little Liars, broadway’s Chicago, 90210 (2009-2010), and Empire (2017), among others.

On February 24, 2015, it was announced that Willis will be competing in season 20 of Dancing with the Stars. She was partnered up with Valentin Chmerkovskiy, a professional dancer. The duo won the competition. Rumer Willis and Chmerkovskiy joined hands again in the summer of 2015 for Dancing with the Stars: Perfect 10 Tour.
