Scott Porter is an actor, singer by profession, and American by nationality. He is well known for starring in the TV series Friday Night Lights, The Good Wife, Hart of Dixie, and the film Bandslam.

Scott Porter was born Matthew Scott Porter in Omaha, Nebraska, USA on July 14, 1979. His mother’s name is Robin Porter and his father’s name is Merle “Butch” Porter. His parents raised him with his two siblings- younger brother Brendan Porter and younger sister Ariana Porter.
Education, Ethnicity
For education, Scott Porter attended Lake Howell High School where he was a wide receiver on the football team, graduating in 1997. He went on to study at the University of Central Florida. There he sang vocal percussion in a cappella vocal group, 4:2:Five.

Scott Porter met Kelsey Mayfield on the set of Friday Night Lights and began dating. After years of relationship, he married his girlfriend on 20 April 2013. His wife is a casting director and a former University of Texas cheerleader. They have two children together- son McCoy Lee Porter was born in May 2015 and daughter Clover Ash Porter was born in August 2017.
There are no rumors of divorce plaguing the married pair.

Early Days
Porter began his professional career in the year 2004. His debut screen role was in the TV series As the World Turns followed by guest appearances in The Bedford Diaries and Ugly Betty. His breakthrough came when he was cast as the main character Jason Street in the sports drama Friday Night Lights (2006-2008). He portrayed the character from seasons 1 to 3 and as a special guest star in season 5 (2005) of the series.
