Shaunie O'Neal is a reality TV star, entrepreneur, producer by profession, and American by nationality. She is the executive producer of as well as the cast of Basketball Wives, Basketball Wives LA, and Baller Wives.

Shaunie O'Neal’s birth took place on November 27, 1974, in Wichita Falls, Texas, USA. She was born as Va'Shaundya Karlette Nelson and at the age of 10 moved to Los Angeles, California, and was raised there.

Shaunie O'Neal married her boyfriend Shaquille O'Neal on December 26, 2002, at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Her husband is an NBA player and the couple has four children together. 

Their sons are Shareef Rashaun O'Neal (born on January 11, 2000), and Shaqir Rashaun O'Neal (born on April 19, 2003), and their daughters are Amirah Sanaa O'Neal (born 2001), and Me’arah Sanaa O'Neal (born on May 1, 2006). Shaunie O'Neal also has a son named Myles B. O'Neal (born May 8, 1997) from the previous relationship while Shaquille O'Neal has a daughter named Taahirah O'Neal from his affair with Arnetta Yardbourgh.

Their oldest son Shareef Rashaun has taken in his father’s footsteps and is a committed player at UCLA while her son  Myles B. O'Neal is now a model.

After five years of marriage, the couple separated on September 4, 2007, only to reconcile a bit later. She filed for divorce on November 10, 2009, citing irreconcilable differences and the divorce was finalized on 11 May 2011.

She was in a relationship with Marion Yates for five years- from 2010 to 2016.

O'Neal went on to date pastor Keion Henderson and got engaged to him in November 2021. They married on May 28, 2022.

O'Neal is the creator and producer of the reality series Basketball Wives. It follows the lives of wives, ex-wives, and girlfriends of professional basketball players. The show debuted in 2010 and continued until 2013. It was again revived in 2017.

She is also the executive producer of the spin-off series Basketball Wives LA, which aired from 2011 to 2016. She is the main cast of another reality TV series Shaunie's Home Court, which follows the lives of her five children and family. In addition, she has had appearances in The Love Shaq (2009) and Dumb It Down (2014).

Moreover, Shaunie O'Neal has started a program Let’s Talk About It, and has worked with several organizations that help women and underprivileged children. She has also launched her own collection of footwear, partnering with Chinese Laundry.
