Who is Tami Roman?

Tami Roman is a reality TV star, model, actress, and businesswoman by profession and American by nationality. She is well known for starring in The Real World: Los Angeles and Basketball Wives.

Tami Roman – Bio, Age, Parents, Siblings

Tami Roman’s birth took place on April 17, 1970, in Mount Vernon, New York, USA. She was born Tamisha Akbar to African American mother Nadine Buford and a Puerto Rican father, who left the family when Nadine got pregnant with Tami Roman. 

Roman was raised by her single mother (parent) in White Plains, New York. She does not have any siblings and is an only child.

After completing high school, she attended Howard University. Her ethnicity includes African-American and Puerto Rican.

Tami Roman – Boyfriend, Husband, Children, Divorce

She married her longtime boyfriend professional basketball player Kenny Anderson on 26 August 1994. Tami Roman and her husband welcomed two children together – daughters Lyric Chanel Anderson (b. June 1994) and Jazz Anderson (b. October 1996). After years of marriage, the couple divorced on 15 February 2001.

She married her boyfriend of four years Reggie Youngblood on 17 August 2018 in Las Vegas in secret. On July 30, 2018, she admitted that she had miscarried the baby she was going to have with Youngblood.

Before Fame

Roman’s professional career began in 1993 when she was cast on the second season of MTV's hit reality show The Real World: Los Angeles. Tami Roman was the first person to have an abortion on reality television during the season.

Series, Films

This was followed by appearances in the TV series Married... with Children (1993), Silk Stalkings (1994), The Parkers (2000), Sex, Love & Secrets (2005), and Moonlight (2008).

In 2010 she was cast in the reality TV series Basketball Wives. She starred in the series until it ended in 2013. In 2017 Basketball Wives was revived and Tami Roman returned as the cast. Roman has also acted in the TV series Belle's (2013), Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars (2015), Basketball Wives LA (2015-2016), Tales (2017), and The Family Business (2018), among others.

In films, Tami Roman has had minor roles in Hair Show (2004), South of Pico (2007), Fall Girls (2019), etc. In June 2019 it was announced that Roman and her husband Reggie Youngblood would get new spin-off series titled Tami Ever After.
