Who is Meeka Claxton?

Meeka Claxton is a reality TV star, an entrepreneur by profession, and an American by nationality. She is known as the CEO as well as a star of the VH1 series Basketball Wives and the founder of Elite Magazine and PYNK Magazine.

Meeka Claxton’s birth took place on 7 August 1979 in Queens, New Jersey, USA. For education, she attended Hofstra University. She is not the only child of her parents and has a sibling- an older brother she calls Flyy Ty lol.

Meeka Claxton – Boyfriend, Husband, Children, Divorce

Meeka Claxton met NBA star Speedy Claxton when both were students at Hofstra University and soon began dating in 1998. She married her boyfriend but did not share their marriage date. 

With her husband, she has welcomed two children- daughters Aniya Claxton (born June 15, 2003) and London Claxton (born October 2008). But their relationship lost its strength and they divorced in July 2014.

Meeka Claxton – Career

Early Days

In 2010 Meeka Claxton starred in the VH1 series Basketball Wives which follows the daily life of a basketball player's wife, ex-wife, girlfriend, and ex-girlfriend. But she was fired in 2011 which was confirmed by executive producer Shaunie O’Neal.

TV show

When producer and co-star Shaunie O'Neal revived the series in 2017, Meeka Claxton did not return to the series. Moreover, she has had an appearance in Love & Hip Hop (2010) and Big Morning Buzz Live (2011).

Aside from the reality show, she has had numerous ventures. Claxton is the founder of Elite Magazine and PYNK Magazine. She has also worked under Claxton, Inc. umbrella, including Claxton Productions and Million Dollar Girlz. The latter is a movement about mentoring young female entrepreneurs.

With Bryant McKinnie, Meeka Claxton hosts the podcast Mac & Meeka Live.
