Toby Leonard Moore’s birth took place on 28 April 1981 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was born Toby Leonard Moore to his mother Robyn Moore, an actress and voice artist while the identity of his father is not known. 

He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a brother named Daniel Moore who is the Architect/Director of Open Creative studio and voice-over artist at EM Voices.

At the age of 16, he left Tasmania to live in Japan as an exchange student for over a year.

For education, Toby Leonard Moore attended St. Virgil's College and the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) where he studied acting.

Early Days

While still, a university student Toby Leonard Moore worked in the Hobart theatre scene. Since beginning his career in 2005 he worked dubbing Chinese-language films into English including The Promise (2005), and Rob-B-Hood (2006). Finally, in 2009 he was cast in the minor role of Walton in an episode of the sci-fi TV series Dollhouse.

Since his major screen debut, Toby Leonard Moore has starred in the films John Wick (2014) as Victor and in the upcoming film Mank. He landed the role of the main character in the short-lived web TV series Daredevil (2015) as James Wesley, in Billions (2016-present) as Bryan Connerty, and in Condor (2020) as Gordon Piper.
