Who is Tom Pelphrey?

Tom Pelphrey is an actor by profession and American by nationality. He is well known for playing Jonathan Randall in the CBS television series Guiding Light, Mick Dante in As the World Turns, and Kurt Bunker in Banshee.

Tom Pelphrey’s birth took place on July 28, 1982, in Howell, New Jersey, USA. He was born Thomas J. Pelphrey to his mother Laurie Ann Pelphrey and his father Richard T. Pelphrey. He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a brother named Robert Pelphrey.

Not many details are known about his siblings, his parent’s occupation, or the rest of the family.

For education Tom Pelphrey attended Howell High School, graduating in 2000. He went on to study at Rutgers University (Mason Gross School of the Arts) in 2004. He graduated from the same in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Previously, he was in relationships with Lili Simmons, Stephanie Gatschet, and Gina Tognoni. He was rumored to be dating actress Jaimie Alexander after he posted a picture together. However, they seem to be just friends and not his girlfriend.

In 2020, Tom Pelphrey confirmed that he is dating actress Kaley Cuoco and made their debut as a couple in May 2022 at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Moreover, in October 2022, the couple announced that they were pregnant with their first child together, a daughter.

Pelphrey began his career as an actor in 2004. His breakthrough role was as Jonathan Randall in the radio and TV soap opera Guiding Light. He portrayed the character until 2009 and earned two Daytime Emmy Awards among many other nominations.

Moreover, he has had a recurring role in the TV series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2009-2016), As the World Turns (2009-2010), Banshee (2015-2016), Iron Fist (2017-2018), and guest appearances in Numb3rs (2007), The Good Wife (2010), Black Box (2014), Blindspot (2019).
