Billie Eilish given temporary restraining order against shirtless stalker
Singer Billie Eilish has been granted a temporary restraining order against an individual found shirtless outside her home in Los Angeles.
The lurker, identified as Raymond Black, was ordered to stay 100 yards away from the 21-year-old Bad Guy hitmaker. The restraining order also prevents Black from going near her house and harassing her.
According to TMZ, the stalker is also not supposed to go near Eilish’s parent's home- Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell.
The judge based the order on “a credible threat of violence or stalking.”
According to reports, Billie Eilish returned home on Monday night to find Black standing outside her living room window shirtless. And she turned on the lights, Black was gazing through the window.
After the cops were called, he was arrested nearby.
This is not the first time this has taken place. The same stalker had been lurking around her home last year when it was being built. Moreover, he had visited her parent’s home looking for the seven-time Grammy award winner.
The news comes just a month after she was granted another restraining order- this time against 39-year-old Christopher. Allegedly, Anderson broke into her parent’s home multiple times with reports that the male suspect jumped a fence at the property but it is unclear if anything was stolen.
After O’Connell claimed Anderson had shown up at his home in Los Angeles to profess his love for his daughter - several times in December 2022 – a restraining order was granted against Anderson on January 18, 2023.
These are not the only cases of stalking and harassment, the singer has faced.
Eilish had to hire a security guard after groups of fans began showing up outside her home.
In a 2019 interview with Rolling Stone, she said, “It was really traumatizing. I completely don’t feel safe in my house anymore, which sucks. I love my house….I’ve loved attention my whole life, but I don’t think anyone knows what fame actually is. Because if I did want to be famous, it wasn’t this kind.”
