Liam Hemsworth was ‘blindsided’ about his split from wife Miley Cyrus on social media!

Last Modified: 9th Sep

Liam Hemsworth, 29 learned about his split from his wife of eight months Miley Cyrus, 26 on social media.

On August 10, 2019, Cyrus' representatives released a statement,

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

According to Page Six,  Hemsworth was blindsided by the statement and was in Australia at the time. Moreover, just hours after the statement was released, former Disney star Miley Cyrus was pictured smooching her new girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter, who had just split from “husband” Brody Jenner.

“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.”

Sources close to the now ex-couple have claimed that the breakup was not unexpected as “things had been going south for months.” The source also added that they had been separated for months and both had been pictured without their wedding rings.

Almost 2 weeks later after their split hit the news, Liam Hemsworth filed for divorce in LA on August 21.
