In high school, Kelly was in a drama, which she really enjoyed, and got interested in acting. However, after a day of acting class in Community College, she changed her mind as she was “way too self-conscious and inhibited to actually do all the stuff that actors do in training.”

She studied English in college but dropped out before obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in English. Later on, in 2013, Martha Kelly returned to college, and according to a March 2018 interview with Vice, she was two classes short of her degree.
Her ethnicity is Caucasian.
