She began playing tennis when she was 5 years old and started her professional career in the 2000s. She won the coveted U.S. National Clay Court Singles Championship at the age of 14. After graduating from University she finished the NCAA tournament as a semifinalist in singles and doubles.

Over the course of his career, Alexa Guarachi has played in WTA as a double, winning in 2018 with partner Desirae Krawczyk and finishing the game as runner-up in 2018 and 2019.
