Who is Rory McCann?
Rory McCann is an actor by profession and Scottish by nationality. Among all his work, he is best known for playing Sandor "The Hound" Clegane on the HBO Game of Thrones and as Michael in the crime-comedy Hot Fuzz.

Rory McCann’s birth took place on 24 April 1969 in Glasgow, Scotland. His parents divorced when he was a child and through his father’s subsequent marriage, he has a younger half-sister named Sally-Gay McCann. He also has a half-brother named Colin MacDougall while the name of his mother is not known.

For education, he studied at the Scottish School of Forestry. His ethnicity is Scottish.
Rory McCann – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
McCann is a single man and has never been known to be dating. In a 2009 interview, he has said
“I’m single because I move about so much that I can’t really get attached. I spent the new year in Ullapool and all I was getting was “Oh my God, you’re the Porage Oats man!” That doesn’t really help the situation. I did better in Iceland. I lived there for a year and I’m not known there, so it was just regular.
The women there are fantastic. They wear the trousers. They’re the ones that point and go “Hey you. Over here!” and the men are the meek, quiet ones who are sitting there going “Who, me?” I liked that approach."
He has never married and is sans wife or children. As he is unmarried, divorce is out of context.

Rory McCann – Career
Before fame
After graduation, Rory McCann worked as a bridge painter. He also did other odd jobs such as landscape gardener, lumberjack, and carpenter and did not start acting until he was 28 years old. In 1998, McCann trained at the Actor's Workshop where his mentor was writer-artist, Robert Parsifal Finch.
His first acting job was as an extra in the 1998 film Willow. But he was fired from the show he laughed during the takes. Unemployed, he appeared in an advertisement for Scott's Porage Oats.
He also appeared in Monarch of the Glen (2000), and London's Burning (2002). Finally, in 2002, Rory McCann landed his first major role in The Book Group.

Since the breakthrough role, Rory McCann has starred in the TV series Rockface (2003), Shameless (2006), The Jury (2011), Banished (2015), and as Sandor "The Hound" Clegane in Game of Thrones (2011-2014, 2016-present), among others.
In movies, he has landed minor roles in Beowulf & Grendel (2005), The Crew (2008), Clash of the Titans (2010), and Slow West (2015), to name a few.
In addition to being an actor, he is also an amateur musician. McCann was in a called Thundersoup and played piano, guitar, banjo, and mandolin. Moreover, he is an avid mountaineer.
