Before her breakthrough role, Pedretti had minor appearances in short films Sole (2014) and Uncovering Eden (2014). In 2017, it was announced that Victoria Pedretti had been cast as Eleanor "Nell" Crain in Netflix’s horror series The Haunting of Hill House.

She has also landed roles as the main cast in two more TV series – in season 2 of You (2019-2023) as Love Quinn and as Dani in The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020).

Pedretti also has portrayed American convicted murderer Leslie "Lulu" Van Houten in the 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Since then, she has starred in the films Star-Crossed (2021), Origin (2023), Ponyboi (2024), and Everything to Me (2024).
