‘Are You the One?’ star Connor Smith arrested for alleged rape of teen

Are You the One? star Connor Smith is under police custody and is facing criminal charges including rape, criminal confinement, and sexual battery. 

Cook County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson stated on Tuesday that the reality star was arrested on a warrant from Lake County, Ind on Dec. 16 in Oak Lawn, Ill. The specific details of the case, however, have not been disclosed.

TMZ reported that a 16-year-old girl claimed she had provided a person selling a cat with her address via Snapchat. She then said the man “ripped open her bedroom window screen, yanked her out of the room, threw her into his truck, and drove to a motel while sexually assaulting her.”

However, in a later interview with the police, the unidentified teen changed her story. Later on, she revealed that she had met the alleged attacker on a dating app and had voluntarily snuck out to meet him. She alleged that once she was in her supposed attacker’s truck, she was forced to perform oral sex on the way to a motel, “slapping and choking her multiple times, urinating on her in the motel room and forcing oral sex again.”

The teen accuser further claimed that the man returned her to her home but said he would be back the next day and the family members who were on her front lawn chased him away.

As Smith's vehicle matched the description of what eyewitnesses saw, Connor Smith was arrested- reports TMZ. His Instagram is currently deactivated.
