‘Foodgod’ Jonathan Cheban robbed at gunpoint in New Jersey

Last Modified: 9th Sep

Jonathan Cheban, the Kim Kardashian BFF who legally changed his name from Jonathan Cheban to Foodgod, was robbed of a $250,000 watch at gunpoint in New Jersey. He had who had “Foodgod” tattooed on his arm while Kardashian filmed it on Snapchat.

The 46-year-old told police that he had just arrived in Englewood Cliffs at Englewood Cliffs, visiting his friend’s house when a guy approached him in the driveway and asked him for the time. According to TMZ, Foodgod was with his mom and a friend at the time.

The suspect then took out a silver semiautomatic handgun and pointed it at the trio and at one point the gun was trained on Foodgod’s mom’s head, TMZ said.

According to authorities, the gunman forcibly removed  Foodgod’s pricey watch from his wrist and then fled on foot, meeting up with an accomplice before disappearing.

Foodgod suffered minor injuries in the scuffle, they added. He also worked with police to compose a sketch of at least one of the suspects. Photos of his robbed watch were also released.

Police said the gunman is in his 20s or 30s and wearing a purple shirt, jeans, and white and gray sneakers while the second thug was heavy-set and had on a gray sweater.

This is the second time  Foodgod has been robbed of his ultra-expensive timepieces.

Back in 2013, he posted a photo of a Jacob & Co. diamond-encrusted Royal watch he was wearing while eating lunch in Southampton on Long Island. Soon after a guy came up to his table and tried to rip off the watch worth $500,000. Luckily a nearby security guard took action and the would-be thief fled without the watch.

Kim Kardashian’s robbery at gunpoint in a Paris hotel room in 2016 where the robbers got away with millions of dollars worth of jewelry prompted Foodgod to hire extra security during January’s Paris fashion week.
