DeBose’s breakthrough came in 2009 when she was selected to compete in the TV series So You Think You Can Dance. She made it to the Top 20. 

Since then Ariana DeBose has done extensive work in broadway theatre and musical plays- namely Bring It On (2011, 2012), Motown: The Musical (2013), Pippin (2014), Hamilton: An American Musical (2015), A Bronx Tale (2016), Summer: The Donna Summer Musical (2017-2018) as Disco Donna.
